Throughout the duration of my final year studies, I have often relied on the University to print and create photographs and photobooks. Although this has been an amazing attribute to my work and learning it has had limitations at time that has prevented me from creating publishing standard work. For my final major project and Photobook entitled “Fifty-Six Years with Tony” I used an external printing company called “Rosemood Atelier”. The French printing company’s website consists of a large variety of photobook pre-sets suitable for everyone. I opted for the peacock green Linen cloth cover with a hot copper foil embossed spine as it is a feature I always hoped to produce. The overall layout for the book is rather simplistic and again, the website had its creative limitations, but these worked in my favour as that is a style I often resort to. An ivory textured 150gsm paper stock filled with 25 coloured photographs. The cost was £93 with £12 express delivery dues to tax and customs but as a student I was given 10% off. The book arrived with a slight mark on the back which although was very small and not overly noticeable, I thought given the price I had paid I would ask for some advice on how to remove this. They emailed back fairly quickly and offered to send a new copy out due to the inconvenience which I was thrilled with.
