An exhibition consisting of images from multiple series, predominantly his work entitled ‘Pictures from Home’. The exhibition comprises of archival and personal work that explores the family dynamics, within and around the domestic space.
I am particularly drawn to Sultan’s use of archival material as it provides an interesting touch on what no longer remains. His use of layout within the exhibition space to incorporate these images is well done and allows the viewer to relate to the work with a resemblance to own personal experiences. Photographs printed at a large scale, all landscape in orientation and positioned within black frames.
Inspiration from this exhibition space will be considered into that of my own in regard to layout and scale.
