When designing the website, I initially began analysing the work of Laura Pannack, whose website consists of a large selection of project portfolios. The webpage has an off-white background allowing an appropriate amount of white space for the imagery to breathe. A combination of Sans Serif and Serif font in a soft teal can be seen statically and when hovering over the categories. Includes interactive ‘Image of the Week’ that connects the webspace to external social media platforms. Home Page feels a little too hectic, yet still professional. I later looked at Sian Davey’s website as I have always found myself drawn to the simplistic yet aesthetically engaging layout of her website; the use of a drop-down menu consists of concise projects created throughout the duration of her freelancing career. The outcomes of these projects can be bought on her website in the form of a Photobook.
Her use of a simplistic serif font, with contrasting hues when page is selected. Images are presented in the form of a landscape slideshow that can be navigated by the ‘prev/next’ arrows on the bottom left of the page.
